On May 4, I had an opportunity to be in the Boeing 747-8F cargo plane of Silk Way Airlines, the “Queen of the Skies”, for the first time at the official spotting held at Baku Heydar Aliyev International Airport. While I have been to various pilot cabins, it was my first experience in a cargo plane. The fact that I had to go up to the 2nd floor to see the cockpit made this plane different from all other ones for me. It was disappointing that due to weather conditions we were limited at taking some photos and the time slot at the airport was short, however a number of interesting shots were obtained during this short period of time.
