27 June, Baku. Undoubtfully the most anticipated fight of the night was Rafael Fiziev vs. Manuel Torres.

Before the main card event, I was asked by a colleague from Mexico – whom I do think will win. Well, Fiziev represents Azerbaijan and Torres Mexico. It was hard for me to make any guess. Both had strong achievements and wins.

But what I expected – was a long, exhausting fight ending at 3rd up to 5th round. Instead, the fight took a completely different run. Just at the beginning of the 2nd round a leg hit to the face of Torres made him loose control and then punch made him fall. The rest were strikes on the ground, hitting his face, resulting a knockout at 15th second of the round.

Rafael Fiziev was full of emotions with his win in home country, and the crowd – which was proud of him as well.

One thing I was especially glad to see was the respect between the fighters. After such an intense rivalry, they embraced with a friendly hug.
