In the first laps of the final race on June 12, Sainz got out of the game due to a malfunction in his car. Then, in the 20th lap, while Leclerc was in the first position, also left the race in frustration due to an engine failure. As a result, both drivers from the Ferrari team got DNF. Before Leclerc was out, Verstappen, Perez and Russell were behind him respectively and it was not known yet they would the see checkered flag in the same order.

Later on, Zhou and Magnussen could not finish the race similarly. Yuki Tsunoda, on the other hand, got a rear wing issue which made him unable to use DRS. Close to the end of the race Stroll got retired without being able to reach the finish.
