27 June 2026, Baku. While the main event between Rafael Fiziev and Manuel Torres will be covered in a separate photo story, the UFC Fight Night undercard featured several notable moments, from an eight-second stoppage to one of the rarest submissions in UFC history.
One of the shortest and most memorable fights of the evening was Abdul-Rahman Yakhyaev vs. Julius Walker. The fight lasted just eight seconds into the first round. It ended so quickly that only a few photos captured the decisive moments before the referee intervened and stopped the fight.
Another quick stoppage occurred in Nazim Sadikhov vs. Mateus Camilo, where Camilo won via TKO in the first round at 1 minute and 31 seconds. This result was a difficult moment for the local crowd, who had hoped to see Sadykhov celebrate his victory in front of his home fans. Sadykhov was also clearly disappointed by the stoppage. However, Camilo showed excellent sportsmanship after the fight, approaching his opponent and raising Sadykhov’s hand toward the crowd as a sign of respect.
Several other fights tried the endurance and determination of both fighters. Bekzat Almakhan vs. Zhan Matsumoto, Farman Khasanov vs. Eric Nolan, Ikram Aliskerov vs. Bruno Ferreira, and Shara Magomedova vs. Michel Pereira all went the full three rounds and ended in unanimous decisions. The exception was Tahir Abdullaev vs. Jefferson Nascimento, where Abdullaev won via technical knockout at 4:28 of the third round.
Among these fights, one of the most intense was the fight between Shara Magomedova and Michel Pereira. Both fighters entered the ring with solid reputations and demonstrated their determination throughout the entire 15-minute bout.
One of the most unusual endings of the evening occurred in the fight between Asu Almabaev and Charles Johnson. Almabaev, also known as “Zulfikar,” won via the Suloev Stretch, one of the rarest submissions successfully executed in UFC history. From the given shooting position, the key leg position for the submission was partially out of frame, making it difficult to recognize the submission itself. Nevertheless, I managed to capture the decisive moment when the referee intervened and stopped the fight.
